We strive to provide and live in a family environment for the elderly with the help of both live-in and outside volunteers. Through a combination of daily prayer (the liturgy of the hours), meals in common, and shared daily activities, we express our reverence and care for each person as a child of God in a loving and supportive family setting.
Everyone has unique ideas and gifts to offer, as well as different backgrounds and needs. Together we seek to support and nurture everyone in our home, living as a family to provide for the health and well-being, physical, emotional, and spiritual, of each person. Continuously in this endeavor is the call to holiness, to a steady increase in virtue, humility, service, and dependence on God in all of our weaknesses and triumphs.
“But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father, for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have? Do not the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what is unusual about that? Do not the pagans do the same? So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
– Gospel of Matthew 5:44-48
“This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
– Gospel of John 13:35
